No increase in fees for fourth year running

The GOC has today approved a zero increase in registration fees for 2007/8. This is the fourth consecutive year that fees have stayed the same. The standard registration or retention fee will remain at £169, restoration at £239 and student registration at £20. Newly-qualified registrants will now benefit from a pro-rata fee in their first year of registration. Registrants will pay a proportion of the full registration fee calculated quarterly from the date of joining the full register to 31 March.

There will be a small projected income deficit next year. Therefore a small increase in fees is anticipated for 2008/9.
