Satjit Singh has joined the GOC as interim Chief Executive and Registrar.
Satjit is an experienced general manager and management consultant with 30 years’ experience of working in the public, private and voluntary sectors. He has worked in organisations such as the General Pharmaceutical Council, Council for Healthcare Regulatory Excellence, National Health Service, Social services, London Underground, Graseby plc, GEC and East Cheshire Hospice, where he has undertaken a number of Board level roles.
He also has experience as a management consultant in the UK, South Asia, Middle East and China, working on programmes involving organisational change and restructuring, stakeholder management, strategic/business planning, institution building, cost reduction and risk management. This included eight years with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Originally trained as a chartered accountant, Satjit also holds an MBA from Imperial College London and is a Certified Management Consultant. He is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Management Consultants and a Freeman of the City of London.
