GOC publishes protocol on handling criminal convictions

Guidance about which criminal offences are likely to affect registration was made public today. The General Optical Council agreed a protocol for handling criminal convictions declared by registrants, which will be published on the website. The document sets out how the Registrar will approach making decisions about applicants who declare a criminal conviction or caution, and applies to both the full and student registers.
