Today marks the start of the RNIB’s Eye Health Week 2008. The campaign takes place during 6 – 12 October and the message is simple: regular eye tests can save your sight.

Eye Health Week 2008 aims to raise awareness of eye health and highlights the importance of getting regular eye examinations.

The RNIB are also stressing that healthy eyesight does not necessarily mean healthy eyes: some sight-threatening conditions, such as glaucoma, have no symptoms. An eye test could detect these conditions and help to safeguard your sight.
