We have now launched MyGOC, OLRthe new registrants’ area of our website to help you manage your registration easily and efficiently.

If you are a fully qualified registrant, you can already use MyGOC to:

• update your address and practice details quickly and easily;
• download a personalised logo to show patients that you are registered; and
• apply for a Direct Debit to make your annual retention easier.

From January, you will also be able to use MyGOC to apply to renew your GOC registration online. We would encourage you to log in to MyGOC before then, to check that your address and other contact details are up-to-date.

Philip Hallam, GOC Assistant Director of Registration, said: “Renewing your registration online will give you more flexibility and control over your application. It will be faster than applying by post and you will avoid having to pay for recorded delivery, which we recommend that all registrants applying by post use.”

The deadline for full registrants to renew their registration is 15 March 2011. Registrants who do not renew by this date will face a £20 late fee. Those who have still not applied by 31 March will be removed from the registers and be unable to practise in the UK.

We will write to all registrants in December, informing them of the start of the retention period. Registrants will then have the choice to renew online or by post.

Student registrants can currently use MyGOC to update their address and contact details. Next summer, they will also be able to use MyGOC to renew their GOC registration.
