GOC agrees proposals for revalidation

At the Council meeting on 23 September, members agreed revised principles and requirements for the CET scheme after 2012. These principles will now form the basis of a revalidation scheme for optometrists and dispensing opticians which will start in January 2013.

'MyGOC' launches ahead of online retention

We have now launched MyGOC, the new registrants’ area of our website, to help you manage your registration easily and efficiently.

If you are a fully qualified registrant, you can already use MyGOC to:
  • update your address and practice details quickly and easily;
  • download a personalised logo to show patients that you are registered; and
  • apply for a Direct Debit to make your  annual retention easier.
