South Yorkshire Police murder enquiry

South Yorkshire Police are currently investigating the murder of Thomas Christopher Groome. They would like to hear from any optometrist that has had contact with him from 1 January 2010 to the present date. South Yorkshire Police told the GOC:

“We have not yet located Mr Groome’s body and so therefore part of the investigation is to carry out a number of proof of life enquiries. We have to be able satisfy a court that Mr Groome is no longer alive. This is achieved by contacting the numerous services and organisations that a person would usually come into contact with in the course of living in the UK.

“Practitioners are requested to check all their records for this male, his full details are

“Thomas Christopher Groome

Mr Groome used several dates of birth including 09/12/56, 03/04/54, 09/07/56, 15/12/56 and 16/12/56.

We do not have a last known address for him."
