News in Brief

New Standards website

To help optical businesses implement the new Standards for Optical Businesses that came into effect 1 October, we’ve launched a new Standards website. The site presents the standards in an accessible and searchable format, and includes supporting guidance, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and videos with tips on how to apply the standards in practice.

It also features a blog, which we will populate on a regular basis with interviews and articles on hot topics. Visit the site to read the new Standards and the latest blog posts:

The new panel consists of members from the GOC’s Education, Registration, Standards and Companies Committees. Council agreed the creation of the advisory panel in July in order to improve the ability of committee members to provide timely and effective advice.
