New registration fee

We have set a registration fee of £330 for the coming year for optometrists, dispensing opticians and optical businesses, payable by 15 March 2017. This represents a £10 increase. The student registration fee will increase from £25 to £30. All registrants will receive an email from us before Christmas letting them know when and how to renew their GOC registration.

New GOC appointments

We have two new appointments to our senior management team. Mark Webster, who has been in place on an interim basis since July 2016, has now been appointed as Director of Resources on a permanent basis. Safia Iman has been appointed as interim Director of Fitness to Practise, covering maternity leave for Lisa Davis.
