Crisis seek volunteers

Crisis, the national charity for homeless single people, are looking for optometrists, dispensing opticians and optical assistants to help run their opticians service at Crisis at Christmas this year.

Running from Sunday 23 December – Saturday 29 December 2012, they will set up up to ten temporary centres.

The centres will provide vital companionship and hot meals for homeless and vulnerably housed people as well as essential services like health checks, housing advice, training and further education opportunities.

The opticians’ service provides eye examinations to the same standard as those completed in an ordinary eye exam.

If you are interested in volunteering, please visit the Crisis website or download a flyer.
