The next meeting of the General Optical Council takes place on 26 January. This public meeting will give you the opportunity to see the Council debate and decide key issues.                       

The agenda includes: 

• an update on our new Fitness to Practise Rules
• news of the Council's finances and budget
• information about progress with our enhanced CET scheme, starting in January 2013
• a report from chief executive Samantha Peters
