Fitness to Practise Rule 15 - review of decision not to refer a case to the FTP Committee

At its meeting in September 2011, Council considered the responses to the public consultation on our new Fitness to Practise Rules. Council approved all bar one of the proposals to reform the current fitness to practise rules.

Having considered the responses to the initial consultation, Council decided to amend draft Rule 15 of the amendments to the Fitness to Practise Rules.

This will mean that case examiners, not the Investigation Committee, will review a decision not to refer a case to the Fitness to Practise Committee. You can read more about how the Fitness to Practise process works here.
